PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope start auxiliary device for a vehicle capable of preventing a sudden popping of the vehicle during a HAS operation caused by an increase of creep force due to idle-up, in the vehicle provided with a fluid coupling for generating prescribed creep force at a gear-in time of a transmission and an idle-up means. SOLUTION: This slope start auxiliary device for the vehicle has the fluid coupling 4 (2) for generating prescribed creep force at the gear-in time of the transmission 3 interposed between an engine 1 and the transmission 3, a brake force holding valve 61 which is interposed in a fluid pressure passage 60 of a brake 51 and holds brake force at the time by closing the inside of the passage 60, and a control device 56 for controlling opening/closing of the brake force holding valve 61. The device is provided with an idle-up inhibiting means st5 for inhibiting an idle-up function of the engine 1 to inhibit an idle-up function 63 of the engine 1 in a brake force holding state.
