PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wallpaper having a surface layer good in foamability and excellent in whiteness and fire retardancy. SOLUTION: The wallpaper has a synthetic resin foamed sheet layer, which is based on an ethylene/alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer containing 20.25-40 wt.% of an alkyl (meth)acrylate component, as the surface layer. The alkyl (meth)acrylate is preferably methyl methacrylate. Further, it is preferable to add surface-treated magnesium hydroxide particles to the synthetic resin foamed sheet. Furthermore, it is preferable to add a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester to the synthetic resin foamed sheet. The expansion ratio of the synthetic resin foamed sheet is preferably 6-20 times.
