PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a louver construction for a swing door or a sliding door permitting to use a flat board shape for slat and to form an air flow and capable of securing a concealing function regardless of the louver position at the door in height direction and even in the case where one kind of door body is used for front and rear or the hinge is attached to the right or left side. SOLUTION: This louver construction can be made in part or full of the door height between the top and bottom rails; and the flat shaped slats are fixed to right and left vertical stiles or vertical frame members in such a manner that the slats are sloped reversely each other and alternately at predetermined intervals in up-down direction thereby permitting the formation of air current and shielding the line of sight in the vertical cross section perpendicular to the surface of the door.
