PURPOSE: A water filtration system using magnetite as filer media is provided to prevent the clogging of filtration bed due to microorganism proliferation, thereby improving water filtration efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The system is characterized in that magnetite sand with an effective size in the range of 0.45 to 0.70 mm and a uniformity coefficient less than 1.7 is either exclusively filled in a filtration basin(3-1,2) in place of general sand or filled being mixed with general sand, wherein the magnetite has a magnetic flux density greater than 200G (Gauss). |
