PURPOSE: A lamp device for a backlight unit of a liquid crystal display device is provided to increase the sectional area of the inside of a lamp by forming the inner surface of a glass tube irregularly, thereby improving the luminance. CONSTITUTION: A lamp device for a backlight unit of a liquid crystal display device includes a glass tube(31) injected with an inert gas, and a fluorescent layer formed on the inner surface(31A) of the glass tube for making the inner surface irregular, wherein the of the fluorescent layer is in the curved or triangular form. |
