PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) signal in an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode)-based mobile communication network is provided to continuously receive a voice additional service through the ATM-based mobile communication network by providing a guidance message converted into an AMR(Adaptive Multi-Rate) coding scheme to a mobile subscriber and transmitting the DTMF signal converted into an AAL2(ATM Adaptation Layer 2) signal message by an SSCF(Service Specific Convergence Function) to an additional service device connected to the ATM-based mobile communication network. CONSTITUTION: An MSC(Mobile Switching Center) connects a virtual circuit between a mobile terminal which requests an additional service and an additional service device using an B-ISUP(Broadband-ISDN(Integrated Services Data Network) User Part) and an AAL2 according to the request of an additional service(S30,S32). The additional service device provides a guidance message converted into an AMR coding scheme by a vocoder to the mobile terminal through the connected virtual circuit(S34,S36). The MSC converts digit information about the corresponding additional service retrieved by a DTMF signal scheme from the mobile terminal into a signal message with an AAL2 packet type 3 on the basis of an SSCF of the AAL2 according to the guidance message, and transmits the signal message with the AAL2 packet type 3 to the additional service device(S38,S40). The MSC provides the additional service requested by the mobile terminal on the basis of a DTMF signal received through the signal message with the AAL2 packet type 3(S42). |
