COUPLING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A coupling device is provided to solve the problems of bolt connection such as a notch and stress concentration around the holes and reduce the term of works and the labor costs greatly compared with widely used bearing-type and friction-type bolt connections. CONSTITUTION: A coupling device for connecting members comprises a coupling case(20) having connecting slots, in which members(10) to be connected are placed, and wedges(30) inserted into the space between the coupling case and the members. The wedges have a higher coefficient of friction on the surface(bottom side) touching the members than on the surface(slope side) touching the coupling case. The wedge conforms to the space between the coupling case and the members and the cross sectional shape of the wedge is selected among triangle, trapezoid, and pentagon.
