STEAM GENERATOR USING POROUS MEDIUM HEATER

PURPOSE: A steam generator is provided to increase the amount of humidification and shorten humidification time by suppressing convective circulation and facilitating vaporizing by using a surface tension of water. CONSTITUTION: A porous medium heater plate(3) having a shape nearly same as the cross section of a steam generating vessel and a size smaller than the size of the container, is mounted within the steam generating vessel having outlet pipes(101,101') arranged at the top surface of the steam generating vessel. A water storage chamber(102) is arranged underneath the porous medium heater plate, and a plurality of supply holes(201) are formed at constant intervals at the bottom of the water storage chamber. A supply pipe(2) having an end extended outward from the steam generating vessel and connected to a pump(31) is arranged so as to supply water into the water storage chamber. The water being supplied into the water storage chamber is prevented from flowing over the top surface of the porous medium heater plate.
