PURPOSE: A torque transfer restriction apparatus is provided to prevent drive shaft or slave shaft from being damaged by the over-torque, by preventing transfer of the torque upon occurrence of the unexpected over-torque. CONSTITUTION: A torque transfer restriction apparatus comprises a drive shaft(10) for receiving power from an engine; a slave shaft(20) for receiving power from the drive shaft and transferring the received power to wheels of a motor vehicle; a case(30) where the drive shaft is fixed and the slave shaft is accommodated; a spring(40) disposed in an insertion groove(32) formed at the surface of the case opposed to the slave shaft; and a ball(50) which is pushed toward the slave shaft by the spring and gets caught at a stopper groove(22) formed at the slave shaft so as to transfer the power which is transferred from the drive shaft to the case, to the slave shaft. The ball is released from the stopper groove when the torque is higher than the allowable level.
