摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is capable of enhancing the efficiency of utilizing external light without attenuating the exit light from photoirradiation means too much in order to obtain high visual recognizability in display under the environment of high illuminance like under sunlight and is capable of enhancing the luminance in a direction perpendicular to liquid crystal display means. SOLUTION: The incident external light on the liquid crystal display means 1 is partly reflected by a reflection polarizing plate and contributes to the display like the light emitted to the back of the liquid crystal display means from the photoirradiation means, by which the high luminance is obtained. If diffusion adhesives are used, the incident external light on the liquid crystal display means is diffused and emitted and the luminance in the direction perpendicular to the liquid crystal display means increases.
