SOLUTION: This heavy cargo carrier device moves an object to be transferred 1 by repeating processes for floating a retainer 7 by forming a high- pressure air layer between the retainer 7 carrying the object to be transferred 1 and a floating device, moving it by a prescribed distance, allowing a lift 8 to a retain the moved carrying the object to be transferred 1 to separate the retainer 7 from the carrying the object to be transferred 1, retreating the retainer 7, lowering the lift 8, and mounting the object to be transferred 1 on the retainer 7.
