PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bell type annealing furnace for annealing a metallic strip coil or a wire rod coil provided with a heat-storage type alternating combustion device which has improved uniformity of temperature distribution in the furnace difficult to be attained in the conventional method performing a simple combustion in a soaking stage. SOLUTION: In the bell type annealing furnace T provided with the heat- storage type alternating combustion device 10 at the lower part of an outer cover 3, auxiliary burners 21a, 21b, 21c are disposed at the upper part of the outer cover 3 to eliminate the shortage of heat capacity at the upper part when the combustion capacity of the heat storage type burner is the lower limit. |
