<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part protection air bag system capable of starting an inflation of the air bag from a narrow gap position even in the case where the head part of an occupant is temporarily near a B pillar and the gap between the head part of the occupant and the B pillar is narrow. SOLUTION: The head part protection air bag system is constituted such that a gas can be fed to a gas passage 11b communicated with a front seat expansion part 11c and a rear seat expansion part 11d of the air bag 10 folded and stored from the inflator 22 fixed to a body (roof side rail 31) through a diffuser pipe 21. At least a gas injection side end (tip end 21a) of the diffuser pipe 21 is set in an area E reinforced by the B pillar 33 at side view.</p> |
