<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of expanding and developing an air bag to the optimum by sufficiently exhibiting an inherent inflammation performance of an inflammation agent filled in an ignition means, enhancing a thermal energy without increasing a filling amount of the inflammation agent and certainly and stably igniting and burning a gas generation agent. SOLUTION: The gas generator is provided with a cylindrical housing 1; the ignition means 4 installed in the housing 1; an inflammation chamber 12 continuously contacted with the ignition means 4, filled with the inflammation agent 13 and having an inflammation bore; a gas generation chamber S storing the gas generation agent 3 for generating a high temperature gas by burning; and a filter material 2 cooling the high temperature gas and collecting a slag in the high temperature gas. At least a part of the inflammation agent 13 is filled in a flowable state such that a space is formed at a part of the inflammation chamber 12.</p> |
