PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which is capable of efficiently and rapidly forming images of high image quality having excellent resolution and dot reproducibility by simple process steps with a dry process. SOLUTION: This image forming method has a latent image forming process step of forming the latent images by subjecting a colored photosensitive layer 12 of a photosensitive material 14 having, successively from a base 11 side, the colored photosensitive layer 12 and an adjacent layer 13 adjacent to the colored photosensitive layer 12 on the base 11, to imagewise exposure, a laminating process step of bringing the photosensitive material 14 formed with the latent images and an image receiving material 17 into contact wit each other and laminating both materials by heating and/or pressurizing, an image forming process stage of forming the images 18 on the image receiving material 17 by peeling the photosensitive material 14 and the image receiving material 17 and transferring the colored photosensitive layer 12 of at least the exposed segments onto the image receiving material 17. The image forming method comprises forming the multicolor images by repeating, >=2 times, the latent image forming process step, laminating process step and image forming process stage described above by using the same image receiving material. |
