PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive formaldehyde adsorptive interior finishing member effectively reducing a concentration of formaldehyde volatilized in the air and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The formaldehyde adsorptive interior finishing member comprises slaked lime (Ca(OH)2 ) dispersed in gaps of a matrix of a base material mainly consisting of calcium silicate composed of tofermorite or xonotlite.
