PURPOSE: To preferentially prevent rotational sway around a horizontal axis, to harmonize with sway in a horizontal direction, to reduce weight and to strengthen structure. CONSTITUTION: A wave absorbing structure 2 is connected to a main structure 1. The wave absorbing structure 2 is composed of a vertical plate 4, a horizontal plate 3 and a reinforcement member 11. The horizontal plate 3 suffering wave pressure is strengthened by the reinforcement member 11 and the strengthened structure of the wave absorbing structure 2 is simplified and particularly lightened. There are provided holes 12 on the reinforcement member 11, and the rolling in the horizontal direction is controlled thereby. The harmonization with the rotational sway around the horizontal axis can be achieved.
