PURPOSE: A serial data calculation device is provided to obtain an approximate average for a plurality of serial data, specially without a divider using many logic so that it can reduce a unit cost. CONSTITUTION: A serial data calculation device a 1st shift register(1), an adder(2), a 2nd shift register(3), an accumulator(4), and a controller(5). The 1st shift register(1) shifts a plurality of transmitted data(n) by the arbitrary bits. The adder(2) adds the shifted data. The 2nd shift register(3) bypasses the added data from the adder(2) or shifts the added data by the arbitrary bits. The accumulator(4) accumulates the plurality of data for a set time. The controller(5) controls the operation of the shift registers(1,3) by shifting the data, input into the shift registers(1,3), clears or bypasses it. The controller(5) generates the values of the shift registers(1,3) whenever the data, input into the shift registers(1,3), moves by the 1 bit.
