PURPOSE: A heating and cooling apparatus for keeping food waste is provided to suppress spoilage of food waste by cooling the food waste and allow the food waste to be reutilized as feeds for livestock. CONSTITUTION: A heating and cooling apparatus comprises an air conditioning unit(25) arranged in the lower portion of the apparatus, and a food waste storage unit(28) arranged in the upper portion of the apparatus. The air conditioning unit includes a cooling/heating element(14) which cools or heats by the voltage supplied through the operation of a switch(21); a heat exchange piece(13) attached on the cooling/heating element, and which transfers/receives temperature of the cooling/heating element to/from a receiving part(07); a heat sink(15) attached to the outer bottom surface of the cooling/heating element, and which radiates temperature of the cooling/heating element to the atmosphere; a cooling fan(19) coupled to the bottom surface of a case(02) toward the heat sink so as to improve efficiency of radiating temperature from the heat sink; a controller(20) having a connector(22) for power connection and a temperature sensor(24) for controlling temperature of the receiving part; air holes(16,26) formed at the case; and the case for protecting components.
