PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate optical transmission at the maximum wavelength time by a small number of light sources. SOLUTION: A signal light generation device 30 outputs a measuring beam of CH47, and signal light generation devices 28, 30, 34, 36 output adjacent modulated light of CH4, CH46, CH48, CH49, respectively. CW laser beam sources 20-1 to 20-24 output CW dummy laser beams of λd1 -λd24 for realizing a gain profile at the maximum transmission capacity time on an optical fiber transmission path 12. A control circuit 39 stops the beam source 20-12 of λd12 overlapping on a range of the measuring beam and modulated light, and attenuates dummy light of a wavelength λd11 adjacent thereto by an attenuator 22. A light multiplexer 24 couples output light of the laser beam sources 20-1 to 20-10, 20-13 to 20-24 with output light of the attenuator 22. A light multiplexer 38 multiplexes output light of the signal light generation devices 28-36. A multiplexer 26 couples output light of the devices 24, 38 and outputs it to the optical fiber transmission path 12. A light receiving device 14 receives the measuring beam of CH47. |
