PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent residual water or a fouling residue of a tank or a water circuit interior during drainage in water replacement of a wet air cleaner provided with the tank. SOLUTION: First, after stopping operation, a drain valve 16 is opened and water of the tank is drained. At this point, water in the tank 5 interior, a pump 7 and a water spraying tower 8 interior is not drained and left. Then, the drain valve 16 is closed, a feed valve 13 is opened, and clean water is fed. At this point, the feed valve 13 is opened without waiting for a fully filled state of the water, at an amount of the water at a level where a water sucking port 6 is completely submerged. The pump 7 is operated for a time to completely send out residual water volume to the tank 5. The drain valve 16 is opened again, and water including residual water is drained. The drain valve 16 is closed and water is fed. In such manner, water can be replaced without leaving water before replacement in the pump 7 or a water spraying tower 8. |
