PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for ink jet which does not cause nozzle clogging, is excellent in delivery stability, and forms an image excellent in storage stability; and an ink jet recording method and an ink container using the same. SOLUTION: This ink for ink jet contains water, a colorant, and at least one compound represented by formula (A) (wherein Ra0 is H, a hydroxylated and/or carboxylated alkyl group, an acyl or alkoxycarbonyl group or the like; Ra1 is a hydroxylated and/or carboxylated alkyl group, a halogen atom, an alkoxy, acylamino, sulfonamide or alkylamino group, a sulfamoyl group of which the N-atom may be substituted by an alkyl group, a sulfo group or the like; and n is 1 or 2). |
