PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate making method for a planographic printing plate having good developability and free of contamination in printing in a non-image area, ensuring high printing resistance for an image area because high image strength hardly damaged in development is given, free of printing trouble such as blinding in printing, stably attaining good printing performance and having high sensitivity and high productivity as a maintenance-free plate making method using an alkali developing solution of a relatively low pH favorable to the environment and safety and producing no development scum. SOLUTION: A photosensitive planographic printing plate having a photosensitive layer comprising a photopolymerizable photosensitive composition containing a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, a polymer binder, a photopolymerization initiator and a colorant on an aluminum support is imagewise exposed and the developed with a developing solution of pH 10.0-12.8 containing a compound capable of coordinating to metal. |
