PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core spun yarn having a moderate stretchability and good touch, heat-insulation and color developing property, having little change in shape after repeated washing and giving little change in the feeling before and after washing. SOLUTION: The core spun yarn is composed of a non-shrinkable fiber containing >=50 wt.% ultrafine acrylic fiber having a fiber fineness of 0.1-1.3 dtex and containing >=70% fibers (in terms of the number of fibers) having the small crimp number of <=1 in 0.5 mm of the single fiber in the fiber bundle in the direction of fiber axis after the boiling water treatment of the fiber bundle in restrained state and elastic fibers having a fineness of 11-44 dtex. The draft ratio of the elastic fiber in the spinning of the core spun yarn is 1.5-3, the twist coefficientαis 80-150 and the product of the draft ratio and the twist coefficientαis 130-300. |
