PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a protective film for a polarizing plate, capable of simply and efficiently forming a functional layer such as a hard coat layer, an anti-glare layer, a polymer oriented film or the like on the protective film. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the protective film for the polarizing plate by casting a dope prepared by dissolving cellulose triacetate in a solvent on a band or a drum and peeling the cast layer from the band or the drum to supply the same to a drying process, the layer formed by casting the dope and held to a wet state is coated with a liquid for forming the functional layer. |
