PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition controller allowing accelerator operation and shift operation of a motorcycle in kick starting without trouble, and allowing the free acceleration operation such as racing. SOLUTION: This ignition controller for a motorcycle has a kick type starter and a centrifugal clutch. In the starter, a kick start is possible regardless of a shift position, and an igniter controls ignition operation such that an engine speed Ne is less than a prescribed engine speed Na for a prescribed time, e.g. 1-3 s, after the kick start in the shift positions except a neutral position. The prescribed engine speed Na is smaller than the number of the centrifugal clutch connection revolutions and is larger than an idling engine speed.
