PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator increasing degree of freedom in selection of installation direction and capable of miniaturizing a housing. SOLUTION: The linear actuator 31 is provided with a pivot part 38 provided on a base end part side of the housing 32 and is swingably installed with the pivot part 38. The pivot part 38 is formed on an end surface of the base end part side of the housing 32 and integrally projected. Two pivot holes 39, 40 crossing at right angles each other are formed on the pivot part 38 in a direction perpendicular to a threaded shaft 36.
