PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain blocks for permeable pavement, which can obtain sufficient permeability, does not form a step therebetween, and are laid on a road with small joint portions arranged therebetween so that a person in a wheelchair can travel thereon. SOLUTION: The block for the permeable pavement consists of a block main body for the pavement, which is formed like a rectangular parallelepiped or the like, and a cavity forming projection which is arranged at least on one side surface of the block main body, in one piece with the block main body. The cavity forming projection protrudes outward to form a cavity thereunder.
