PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overlay method including bulk adjustment and setting of a manhole frame. SOLUTION: The overlay method for pavement including the manhole frame consists of the following steps (a), (b), (c), and (d). In the step (a), a surface of a manhole cover 2 is coated with a release agent 3, and an overlay 5 is laid on a surface of the pavement 4 and a surface of the release agent 3. In the step (b), the manhole frame 1 is pulled out by a lifter 12, and a pavement portion 7 around the manhole frame 1 is removed. In the step (c), a holding frame 13 is fixed onto an upper surface of the manhole frame 1 to suspend the manhole frame 1 over a manhole base wall 6, and a gap between the manhole frame 1 and the manhole base wall 6 is filled with an inner frame. In the step (d), foundation concrete is cast in situ into a portion of a cavity around the manhole frame 1, corresponding to a height between an upper surface of the manhole base wall 6 and a lower surface of the manhole frame 1, and thereafter a pavement material is placed over the foundation concrete up to the height of the surface of the overlay 5.
