<p>The mixer valve is made from a moulded or drop forged one-piece body (10) with a cylindrical mixing chamber (48), inlet and outlet ports and an axial opening for inserting a mixing component (50) with a shaft (61), held in the chamber by a seal ring (52). The body is machined in a single operation to produce external fixings for control members and pipe couplings, and a groove (38) for a seal retaining ring. After the mixing component is fitted in the body it is fixed in place by the seal ring and retaining rings, with seals (66, 72, 74) between the seal ring, mixing component and body.</p> |
