PURPOSE: A two-by-two light switch for controlling light pathway is provided to do an operation regardless to a wavelength and polarity on switching and to improve a crosstalk property with an initial pathway maintained without power consumption. CONSTITUTION: First and second input asymmetric Y-branch optical waveguides are disposed in parallel on the sides of input terminals. The same is true to first and second asymmetric Y-branch optical waveguides. One wider optical waveguide(123) of two branch optical waveguides of the second asymmetric Y-branch optical waveguide is connected with one wider optical waveguide(133) of the first asymmetric Y-branch waveguide and an arc curved optical waveguide(160). The other narrower one of the first asymmetric Y-branch waveguide is connected with the other narrower optical waveguide of the first asymmetric Y-branch waveguide. The other narrower optical waveguide of the second asymmetric Y-branch optical waveguide is connected with the other narrower optical waveguide of the second asymmetric Y-branch optical waveguide.
