PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device and a sealing structure using magnetic fluid reducing the generation of particles and having high reliability. SOLUTION: This sealing device and the sealing structure comprise an annular member 4 provided on an outer periphery side of an power transmitting shaft 3 and having an area superimposing with a partition wall 2 when projecting in an axial direction; and a magnetic fluid sealing portion 5 having a magnet provided on the annular member 4 to form an annular clearance with an opposite surface, and magnetic fluid held in the annular clearance by magnetic flux generated by the magnet and sealing the annular clearance. The annular member 4 is provided with the magnetic fluid sealing portion 5 in an annular clearance 8a with a diameter direction surface 2a opposite to the annular member 4 of the partition wall 2 and in an annular clearance 8b with an outer peripheral surface 3a of the power transmitting shaft 3. |
