PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter attaining a liquid crystal display device with excellent display quality and further exhibiting high manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: A photosensitive resin layer is formed by using a photosensitive resin composition containing at least a polymer, a monomer and a photo-polymerization initiator in which the content of the photo-polymerization initiator is in 5-20 wt.% range of the solid content and further the photo-polymerization initiator contains >=70 wt.% photo-polymerization initiator with <10,000 (I/ mol.cm) molar extinction coefficient at 300 nm ε300. Thereafter, the method for manufacturing the color filter is provided with steps to expose the photosensitive resin layer with an exposure device having a g-line, an h-line and an i-line in the emission spectrum and further having the spectrum with >=35% energy of the i-line energy in 200-350 nm wavelength region with a specified pattern, to develop it and to form columnar projecting parts with heights in 2-6 μm range. |
