PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change controller for an automatic transmission capable of carrying out learning correction matching various traveling conditions. SOLUTION: In upshifting during a throttle full opening time, for example, a traveling condition of a vehicle is detected that it is in a hill climbing road traveling condition as shown by a solid line in the figure.
