PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, in an FCC(fluid catalytic cracking) or RFCC unit, which can sufficiently reduce sulfur content to give a catalytically cracked gasoline capable of coping with environmental regulations. SOLUTION: This method for desulfurizing the catalytically cracked gasoline is characterized in that a catalytic cracking and desulfurization catalyst, which contains a catalyst comprising an inorganic porous material having meso-pores and/or macro-pores and carrying at least one metal selected from vanadium, zinc, nickel, iron and cobalt, is used for the catalytic cracking of a stock oil in the fluid catalytic cracking unit or a unit for the fluid catalytic cracking of heavy oil.
