PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging the end point of an AOD vessel by which remaining brick size in the vessel can be measured even during an operation without depending on a visual observation. SOLUTION: When thermocouples 10, 11 set in the iron shell of the AOD vessel detect that the temperature of an iron shell has reached a prescribed temperature, it is judged that the size of the remaining brick 4 in the vessel 1 has come to the end point.
