Electronic component comprises an electronic switch and conducting paths (4) on one surface (13) of the component to electrically connect the switch with metal-coated protrusions (3) made from rubber-elastic insulating material and each having a metallic contact (16) on the tip (14) or a line pad (8) in its volume arranged between the contact and one of the line paths. An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of an electronic component comprising applying the rubber-elastic protrusion by screen printing. Preferred Features: The protrusion has a dome-like contour with a soft slightly bent transition to the surface (13) and has a base surface with a diameter of 150-500 mu m.
