PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing building material which can bring about an effect similar to an effect in the use of a grating, and can be applied even to a surface, except a plane, to be reinforced, without any pretreatment. SOLUTION: This reinforcing building material is composed of a plurality of main body parts 1, which are arranged in parallel, and a plurality of transverse members 2 which are fixed to the body parts 1 so as to maintain positional relationships among the body parts 1. The body part 1 is composed of fiber reinforced plastics(FRP), and the transverse member 2 is composed of a flexible thermoplastic resin. An anchor part 12 throughout the longitudinal direction of the body part 1 is provided on the side of one end of the body part 1. In reinforcement work for an inner peripheral surface of a tunnel, a cement layer C is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the tunnel, and the anchor part 12 is embedded in the cement layer C before hardening thereof. In this case, the longitudinal direction of the body part 1 is made to correspond to that of the tunnel. The transverse member 2 is made to follow curvature of a main operational surface in the tunnel, so as to cope with the curvature thereof. A shape of the anchor member 12 prevents the anchor member 12 from slipping off the hardened cement layer C. The hardening of the cement layer C makes the reinforcing building material fixed to the surface to be reinforced. |
