METHOD FOR SHORTENING OXYGEN CONCENTRATION REDUCTION TIME IN ELECTRON BEAM IRRADIATION APPARATUS, AND THE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time (time for reduction of oxygen concentration) for reducing oxygen concentration to below a specific concentration by introducing nitrogen to a carriage mechanism of an electron beam irradiation apparatus. SOLUTION: An elevation holder of the electron beam irradiation device consisting of an electron beam generator, vibration conveyers, the elevation holder and flexible cover provided at the joints of the vibration conveyers is operated more than three times to elevate and descend the vibration conveyers, so as to forcibly expel oxygen remaining in cloth or in corners to promote oxygen reduction, so that the time needed to reduce oxygen is made shortened.
