PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packaging a moisture absorbing ceramic capable of restricting deterioration in quality of a high moisture absorbing ceramic for a long period of time. SOLUTION: Aβ-alumina ceramic is stored in a packaging container having a moisture permeability of 2.0 g/m<2> .day or less which is formed by a laminated film having an aluminum foil layer between a polyethylene terephthalate film layer and a polyethylene film layer. There is provided a method for packaging a moisture absorbing ceramic in which an end part of the packaging container is sealed through thermal melting operation.
