PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a collapsible type projection lens extendible by an easy operation at the time of using a projector excellent in portability and housing property and using the projection lens. SOLUTION: In this projector, a liquid crystal projector is illuminated with light from a light source, and an image formed by the liquid crystal projector is projected by the collapsible type projection lens which can be extended and withdrawn passing through the front side wall of an outside case. The projector is equipped with a lens cover attached to the outside case so as to slide and opening/covering the edge part of the collapsible type projection lens. Then, the collapsible type projection lens is extended linked with operation to open the edge part of the collapsible type projection lens by the lens cover.
