PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high resolution and not causing image defects such as black spots and to provide an image forming method, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge each using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having an intermediate layer and a photosensitive layer on an electrically conductive support, the intermediate layer contains at least titanium oxide particles and an alkylene copolymer.
