PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed detector-mounting structure for preventing trash and seaweeds in sea from entwining a paddle and further preventing mud or the like in seabed from adhering to the paddle. SOLUTION: In a ship, a water jet pump is provided at the rear of the ship, a ship bottom plate 31 is provided at the lower portion of the water jet pump, a speed detector 40 is mounted to the seabed plate 31, and the flow rate of current is detected by a paddle 61 in the speed detector 40. In the ship, with the speed detector-mounting structure 30 in the ship, the paddle 61 of the speed detector 40 is provided on the upper surface of the sea bottom plate 31, an opening is formed in front of the speed detector 40 out of the bottom surface plate 31, and water is guided to the speed detector 40 through the opening 31.
