PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of a substance to be treated capable of improving analytical precision. SOLUTION: This treating method of the substance to be treated has a process for supplying a treating liquid R capable of reacting with the substance S to be treated onto a slide glass (support) 7 where the substance S to be treated adheres, drawing a treating liquid developing member 1 close to the slide glass 7, and developing the treating liquid R into a gap 9 formed between them, to thereby bring the substance S to be treated into contact with the treating liquid R, a process for heating and simultaneously reacting the substance S to be treated and the treating liquid R together, and a process for supplying a humidity keeping liquid H, and separating the slide glass 7 from the treating liquid developing member 1. The method also has a process for cleaning the substance S to be treated by bringing the substance S to be treated into contact with a cleaning liquid after finish of the process for separating the slide glass 7 from the treating liquid developing member 1.
