PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated warehouse capable of preventing a slip of a wheel without impeding a function of slidingly moving a load between a self-traveling carriage and a rack. SOLUTION: A step part 5b is formed in a part of a rail 5 positioned in a side of a self-traveling carriage 14 and the step part 5b is disposed with a timing belt 12. The self-traveling carriage 14 is provided with front/rear/left/ right wheels 17, a timing gear 35, and a presser roller 36. The timing belt 12 and the timing gear 35 are engaged with each other so as to prevent the wheels 17 from slipping. The timing belt 12 is disposed in the step part 5b of the rail 5 so as not to impede the sliding movement of the load.
