PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a noise and a material wear of a control cam/cam follower mechanism even when a printer cylinder is rotated at a high speed. SOLUTION: A cleaning unit for the printer cylinder comprises a controller (60) for automatically exhausting a working pressure chamber (32) of an actuator (28) for a cam ascent (52) of a control cam (42) of a control cam/cam follower mechanism (40). In this case, the exhaust step is started by a rotary angle of a printing cylinder (6) to a cleaning unit (24). The controller (60) is operated so as to automatically raise an operating air pressure in the chamber (32) of the actuator (28) during a section continued to a gripping unit (10) in an outer cylindrical surface (8) of the rotating printing cylinder (6).
