PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a screen plate capable of surely regulating a tension of a printing screen mesh. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the screen plate comprises the steps of superposing the printing screen mesh 2 on a predetermined region P1 of a surface of a supporting screen mesh 1, and adhering the mesh 2 to a peripheral edge of the region P1 of the mesh 1. The method further comprises a step of further removing a part of the region P1 of the mesh 1. The method also comprises the steps of regulating the tension of the mesh 1, after removing the region P1, and fixing the mesh to a plate frame 5.
