PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centering level measuring method allowing precise measurement of the centering level of a machining tool being mounted on a turret. SOLUTION: This centering level measuring jig 11 is used to precisely measure and adjust the centering level of a cutting tool 3 being mounted on the turret 2 via a first process for measuring a distance between a measuring reference surface 11e of the centering level measuring jig 11 and the rotational center of a spindle 1 of a machining device having a turret type tool rest, a second process for paralleling the measuring reference surface 11c of the centering level measuring jig 11 mounted on the spindle 1 to the cutting direction of the cutting tool 3 mounted on the turret 2, a third process for measuring a distance between the measuring reference surface 11c and the edge of the cutting tool 3 mounted on the turret 2 using the centering level measuring jig 11, and a fourth process for adjusting the position of the edge of the cutting tool 3 mounted on the turret 2 so that the distance measured in the third process is equal to the distance found in the first process.
