PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved discharge efficiency by permitting phosphors of each barrier rib to emit the same amount of visible light and minimizing destruction of charged particles generated during discharge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises barrier ribs(46), and first and second sustaining electrodes(Y,Z) constituted by metal bus electrodes(43Y,43Z) and transparent electrodes(42Y,42Z). The transparent electrode has a protrusion protruded toward the center of a cell and which has a circular or polygonal shape. The transparent electrode of the first or second sustaining electrode has a protrusion formed within the protrusion of the other transparent electrode. Thus, the length from the discharging space to each barrier rib is formed constant, to thereby allow phosphors of each barrier rib to emit the same amount of visible light. |
