PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor image forming device capable of forming an image in a shortened time by miniaturizing a developer roller driving means, besides, reducing the number of components of a shutter member driving means, and also, shortening a time required to switch colors. SOLUTION: The only one of the developing rollers is selectively driven by a single driving motor. The single driving source drives the plurality of the shutter member in a way such that the contact displacement of a shutter member for a developing device for developing for an odd-numbered time and the separation displacement of a shutter member for a developing device for developing for an even-numbered time are made to partially synchronize each other, and that the contact displacement of the shutter member for the developing unit for developing for the even-numbered time and the separation displacement of the shutter member for the developing device for developing for the odd-numbered time may partially synchronize each other, thus, a time required for napping operation and a time required for bristle cutting operation overlap with another. Then, the time required to switch the colors is shortened, and the time required to form the image is shortened. |
